INTERPRETATION AND REPRESENTATION
BRIEF
With an understanding of tectonics, anthropometry and ergonomics in mind, we set out to explore further and design a poetic architecture with sensorial qualities in transition and space portraying emotion. Upon deconstruction of our previous tectonic bamboo structure, we set out to create a sequential narrative journey throughout the sensorial spaces to enhance the experience. The form of the previous tectonic structure is derived in the sensorial spaces to create similar banal activities in a series, in the narrative journey.
OUTCOME
A structure that consists of 20m3, to represent the chosen concept and effectively measure the user journey up to design. Key axonometric drawing with 2 x joinery details produced along with a full set of orthographic drawings, abstract architectural drawings and tattoo stamps further elaborating on the design.
LIGHT & SHADOW IN MY JOURNEY
CONCEPT
Re-imagine the concept of fluidity deconstructed from tectonics, without breaking the geometrical forms and without directly curving the structure. Enhance the series of spaces to allow users to visualize their experience in relation to the journey of the structure.
FLUID-LIKE MOVEMENT IN GEOMETRICAL FORM
TO FLOW THROUGH THE SPACES
INTENTION
To prioritize the emotions and the poetic emphasis projected from the experience, defining the usage of the spaces in relation to the user journey. Moreover, manipulation of materials and subtle changes in transition of spaces are used to visualize and guide the user journey
DESIGN DEVELOPEMENT
Design derived from the deconstruction of tectonics structure, re-imagining the fluid-like concept which is both balanced in nature and appropriate for representation of the transition in spaces
